Dear Parents & Carers,
I am writing to confirm that there will be a national bank holiday on 19th September 2022. This is to mark the occasion of the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Department for Education has confirmed that they are not asking schools to remain open on the day. The school will be closed on Monday 19th September and will reopen on Tuesday 20th.
Our prayers and thoughts remain with the Royal Family at this time.
The internet has changed all of our lives, particularly our children’s. For parents and carers this opens up a whole new world of things to be aware of. For many of us, this can all be a bit too much.
