Please see the parent information leaflets below, which explain the ‘non-negotiables’ for your child’s year group and age. The non-negotiables are the National Curriculum’s minimum age-related expectations for a specific year group; they are a list of things in reading, writing and mathematics that all children must be able to do by the end of the school year. These are designed so that parents have a clear understanding of what the expectations are for their child.
We would suggest that you use these at home as a tool for you and your child to know what is necessary when completing their work. Please read the leaflet carefully. If you would like to ask any questions about the non-negotiables, please do not hesitate to get in touch with your class teacher.
