This October, Winterbourne Junior Girls’ School was showered in pink rather than the more traditional red uniform in celebration of “wear it pink” to raise money and make life-saving breast cancer research and life-changing care happen.

Children were asked to bring in £1.00 to wear pink on the day and do their bit to help the millions of people that this disease affects every day.

Breast Cancer Now’s wear it pink day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK. Taking place during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, thousands of amazing people wear it pink in their communities, schools or work places for the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now.
