We commenced our week with an amazing trip to the Southbank, to increase our knowledge of Windrush, where we met Baroness Florella Benjamin of Beckenham and watched her autobiographical movie “Coming to England.” The girls learnt plenty about the challenges someone from abroad faced, growing up in the 60s and 70s, in London.
Every Year Winterbourne Junior Girls’ School hosts a fun packed sleepover at the school for our Year 5 girls.
