Year 3’s enrichment project this term related to Ancient Egypt. In particular, ancient artefacts that were found in tombs such as the tombs of Pharaohs.

To aid in better understanding what it was like to explore a tomb just as the famous archaeologists once did, the children converted our studio into an Egyptian tomb with caverns, dark crevasses and artefacts arranged around the tomb of the Pharaoh and other such dignitaries.

To create the right ambience, the children explored their tomb in the dark by torchlight. It was very spooky and authentic feeling. We took some pictures on the day, which can be seen in the gallery below. Please click on the thumbnails for a larger view.
