On 14th June 2019, a group of Year 5 and 6 children and staff met with The Mayor of Croydon and other dignitaries at The Council Chambers at Croydon Town Hall to take part in the Windrush Award Ceremony for 2019.
WJGS won a certificate of recognition, and Year 4 won the dance element of the competition. We are so very proud of our amazing gifted and talented children who took part in this very special event. This was the first official Windrush Day in history.
