Black History Enrichment Week:

October is black history month, when schools and organisations in Britain and the USA remember the contributions made by black people, to the development of both countries in terms of science, the arts, culture, music and economic progress.

Anika Wilson, a Monologue performer will be visiting WJGS to offer two workshops covering Caribbean culture and history, specifically covering the Windrush story, which depicts the many Caribbean men and women who came to Britain to work for the newly formed NHS. Now, seventy years on, we celebrate the huge impact that the Windrush workforce had and continues to offer the NHS.
